Eid, The word itself brings a millions of smile on the face of every muslim all over the world . The Muslim community is getting ready to celebrate the end of the holy month – long task of Ramadan with intense spiritual,  renewal  prayers and various festivities . Ramadan is the month on the Islamic lunar calandar Eid-ul-fitar which is celebrated after a month of fasting i.e Ramadan on the 1st of Shawwal. It is the day when the muslims thank Allah for having given them the will and the strength to observe fast and obey . The end of Ramadan marks the beginning of the three days i.e. Eid-ul-fitar , feast of fast and the breaking . In which we exchange social visits and seek to strengthen the bond of brotherhood in the community .

We celebrate by praying thanks to Allah. And we exchange good food , new clothes and gifts with each others on the day of Eid-ul-fitar. Eid -ul-fitar is celebrated not because the month of Ramdan is over but out of gratitude to god (Allah) for having obeyed the commandmemts in the holy month. Before the eid prayer muslims give out some money to the poor for reminder that the fasting has made them more understanding towards the needs of the others . We go to mosque for the eid prayers and after that most of the people visit their family and friends to enjoy time together. The celebrations continue for a couple more days till the next weekend.

Muslims greet each others by saying “Eid Mubarak” meaning “blessed eid” and “taqabbal allah” a maalation or may god accept your deeds and to be happy at having achieved a month of tasking and worshiping and to hope that the deeds have earned the plesure of the lord.
